Creation 2011 : "Variations sur une collection de timbres" The titel of the Premiere - "Variations on a collection of timbers" - translate the spirit of the german word "Klangfarben", which means literaly "colors of sound". "Creating this ensemble with all those timbers and colors, I attempt to reach a composition in real time with great soloists, processing with soundpainting - a comprehensive sign language for creating live composition from structured, jazz-based improvisation, created by Walter Thompson." (FC) This formation is composed of twelve performers - all improved improvisers - and will perform in all places dedicated to music, dance and theater. Klangfarben perform especially in Art Museum, Contemporary context for art. François Cotinaud's writings, melting contemporary references, text and jazz feelings, are the basics of futur creations. Compositions and text will the material, the earth for growing, of all improvisations live directed by the soundpainter.
